For starters, in bit mode you won't "hear" any improvement in "sound" quality per se, but Logic is no longer limited to 4 GB of RAM.
So if you have more than 4 GB installed, you will still increased processing performance which is huge. However, the downside is that not all plug-ins are bit compatible, so they won't run in this mode. However, you can open Logic files in both 32 and bit modes, despite whatever "mode" they were originally created in.
So theoretically you could run your plugins in 32 bit, bounce them, and then reopen the project in 64 bit. There are other things that are both enabled and disabled when running in 32bit and 64 bit modes. This is not really true.
There is no need to do any bouncing between modes. Thank you! As I opened my opwn folder and highlighted Logic and logkc command I, the options I have are a 32 bit box that is checked and a grayed out box that says locked. However, I have three Logic Icons in my /23679.txt folder one is Logic, the other is Logic 8, and the third is Logic 9.
